Soul Kitchen was formed for the love of black music since early 2000s, when they were introduced to the groove by starting to dig into 90s R&B and Hip Hop, along with sampled sources such as Soul, Funk, Disco and Jazz. Since then, collecting records has become an indispensable part of their daily life. 

From the moment with taking out the record from the sleeve and putting the needle to the groove, a sense of ritual was added while immersing themselves in the music.

By playing out the records collected over the years, their vinyl sets mix black music genres such as Soul, Funk, Disco and  those with African roots.
